When you are moving, a crucial part of a successful move is the quality of the packing, packing materials used, and the handling of your furniture. At Trans International we pride ourselves in the way we care for your belongings.
Materials & Methods
For export, all items are wrapped in our 3 tier bubble wrap. This wrap has a soft tissue paper inner liner, a bubble centre and a plastic coating. In the packing of antiques, soft wooden furniture, or the edges of furniture, the bubble wrap is strengthened by a layer of cardboard.
China and glassware are tube packed. This method involves wrapping in paper then placing in a cardboard sleeve before being placed in the carton.
This proven method has resulted in minimal claims to china, glassware, etc.
We have 4 main carton sizes:
Other materials used are:
- Tea chest sized cartons or dish packs
- Book cartons
- Flat packs for clothes
- Porta robe cartons for clothes
- Tissue paper for that very fine china.
- Poly chip for those delicate ornaments
- Silicone gel to avoid mould in motor vehicles and in long term storage containers
Some items are just so fragile that they need to be wrapped or packed in poly chip inside wooden crates.
These fragile items are measured and the wooden crates are designed to the specifications in order to ensure safe transit.
